Shifting Heads
Shifting heads are devices designed for the quick and efficient shifting (or moving) of shiftable conveyors.
Bench conveyors, which are operated together with mining and dumping machines, boast a shiftable design, which enables them to be moved according to the changing layout of the mine. As such, the conveyor modules are equipped with steel sleepers and rails to allow easy shifting. The shifting procedure is performed by a shifting vehicle, which travels up and down the conveyor line and moves the conveyor in incremental steps into its new position. The shifting vehicle has a special attachment for rail clamping the shifting head.
Shifting heads are designed according to the specific rail type and the shifting vehicle to be employed at the mine.
Our product range covers shifting head fabrication as well as testing at our Product & Service Center in Germany.
