TAKRAF Group is delighted to be a new sponsor of the F60 Triathlon in Lusatia, Germany. This partnership reflects not only the company’s dedication to sporting achievement, but also its deep connection to the local community where it has been rooted for nearly 300 years. The sixth annual F60 Triathlon recently took place beneath the awe-inspiring 11,000-ton F60 conveyor bridge, designed and built by TAKRAF in the late 1980s. The event perfectly combines sporting ambition with regional pride.
A highlight of this year’s triathlon was the participation of #TeamTAKRAF. Several employees from TAKRAF's German locations in Leipzig and Lauchhammer competed, some of them for the first time in a triathlon. “It’s fantastic to see how our colleagues from both sites have made this special event a true TAKRAF experience,” said Thomas Jabs, CEO of TAKRAF Group. “The F60 is not just a symbol of our engineering expertise, but also of our strong ties to the region. Through this sponsorship, we aim to promote both sport and the community. It was inspiring to witness our team push themselves to personal bests - this is what makes the event so meaningful to us.”
TAKRAF’s involvement is about more than supporting sporting endeavors—it’s also about demonstrating social responsibility. The F60 Triathlon, held near TAKRAF’s Lauchhammer site, uniquely connects the region with the company’s history and ongoing commitment to the local community. TAKRAF will continue to sponsor the F60 Triathlon for the next four years, with this year's participation of #TeamTAKRAF marking just the beginning. “I hope everyone enjoyed it, and I’m looking forward to seeing even more of our #TeamTAKRAF at the starting line next year,” added Jabs. Through this initiative, TAKRAF not only fosters athletic fellowship within the company, but also strengthens regional identity.
